Project Overview

The EBC Building is a striking modern commercial architecture located in Costa Rica, defined by its dynamic geometric lines and recessed facade panels. TPK Lighting was commissioned to deliver a highly customized facade lighting system that enhances the building's premium corporate identity after dark.

The project utilizes advanced LED wall washers featuring a customized range of beam angle configurations. Narrow-beam LED wall washers precisely outline the dynamic geometric facade frames, while wide-angle units deliver uniform, soft lighting across broader recessed surfaces. This strategic lighting combination results in a sleek, professional nighttime appearance that perfectly enhances the building's modern architectural design.

Engineering Approach

Targeted & Glare-Free Illumination

The core of this architectural lighting design lies in its sophisticated mix of optics and precise installation alignment. The LWW-OP-W75 and LWW-WZB-W55 wall washers were strategically positioned to deliver targeted, glare-free illumination.

  • Structural Highlighting: Narrow-beam LED wall washers are focused on the outer geometric frames to create sharp, defining outlines of the building's unique shape.
  • Surface Washing: Wide-angle units softly illuminate the broader recessed surfaces, enhancing depth without causing light pollution to the interior offices.
  • Seamless Control: All fixtures are intelligently integrated via a robust DMX512 control system, ensuring stable and synchronized performance across the entire commercial facade.
